How do I clear my browser's cache?

The method to clear cache varies on the type of browser you are running. If you don't see yours listed below, you can typically find instructions by doing a web search.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0

  • Open Internet Explorer.
  • Click Tools in the upper toolbar.
  • Click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
  • Click the General tab
  • Click Delete Files under "Temporary Internet Files".
  • Check Delete all offline content.
  • Click OK on the Delete Files dialog box.
  • Click Apply and then OK.

      or

  • Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
  • Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
  • Click Delete Files.
  • NOTE: Do not select Delete Cookies unless you want to remove all the cookies stored on the computer.
  • Click OK on the Delete Files dialog box.
  • Click OK.
  • CloseWindow.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0

  • Open Internet Explorer.
  • Click Tools in the upper toolbar or click on the Tools icon.
  • Click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
  • Click the General tab
  • Click Delete under "Browsing History".
  • Click Delete Files under "Temporary Internet Files".
  • Click Yes on the Delete Files dialog box.
  • Click Close and then OK.

      or

  • Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
  • Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
  • Click Delete under "Browsing History".
  • Click Delete Files under "Temporary Internet Files".
  • Click Yes on the Delete Files dialog box.
  • Click Close and then OK.
  • CloseWindow.

Mozilla Firefox

  • Click Tools in the upper toolbar and select Options.
  • Click the Network Tab, then Advanced Tab.
  • Click Clear Now
  • Click Ok.
  • Exit and re-launch the browser.

Clearing Browser Cache on Macintosh

Safari 1.0 for Macintosh OS X

  • Open Safari.
  • Click on Safari in the upper toolbar and Select Empty Cache.
  • Click Empty on the Are you sure message box.
  • Exit and re-launch the browser.

Firefox for Macintosh OS X

  • Open Firefox
  • Click on Firefox in the upper toolbar and Select Preferences.
  • Click the Privacy Icon.
  • Click Clear across from the Cache option.
  • Click Ok.
  • Exit and re-launch the browser.

Mozilla for Macintosh OS X

  • Open Mozilla
  • Click on Mozilla in the upper toolbar and Select Preferences.
  • Click the Advance category.
  • Expand Advance category and click on Cache.
  • Click the Clear Cache option.
  • Click Ok.
  • Exit and re-launch the browser.
